This is undoubtably the easiest blowing, best sounding mouthpiece I've ever played in my 40 years of playing alto.

Many things that had not been possible or had been very difficult became almost instantly easy and playable. I feel that it will greatly improve my playing, and let me try new and more unusual, fresh ways of melodic expression. It is a real pleasure playing this mouthpiece.

The mpc arrived yesterday. Man it is great. I love it. I love the response, more responsive in the extremes of the range and a fatter core to the sound. I am sold. The best thing about the JodyJazz is the ease of playing, no other mpc has felt so right when you put it on a horn and play. Since it arrived, I have used it exclusively on the Buescher alto. I have many mpcs here that I don't use. The JodyJazz won't be one of these. My recommendation is to try a JodyJazz for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

I have never played such a free blowing, great sounding piece in the 20+ years that I have been playing. I could play this all day. Great volume and "cut" with the spoiler in, and a nice full tone without the spoiler. Jody is also great to deal with and just a real helpful nice person. So there you have it! Try one and be amazed.

I love the sound that it gives me and I can finally get those altissimo notes that i couldn't get out before.

I had to look in the mirror to make sure it was me playing! It gives a full, centered, awesome tone in the lower notes. I have never heard my Buescher True Tone Alto sound like that. The JodyJazz is exactly what I was looking for!

It has become my #1 mouthpiece for tenor. Better projection than my Link, especially in the upper register. I am enjoying it very much, so impressed I am looking to buy an alto piece.

I think it is a very fine piece of work, you've done a perfect finish of this originally Runyon mouthpiece: good attack, nicely homogenous sound in all registers and the spoiler gives another sound alternative and/or the possibility to cut through a big or electric band background, respectively. My horn really sings with your JodyJazz, it has such a beautiful sound throughout the entire range of the sax. I'm especially impressed with its ease of playing in both the lower register and the altissimo.

The sound is Powerful! Tight! Focused! and yet sweet and smooth at the same time. I felt like every note was speaking clear.

I want to thank you for the JodyJazz # 8 alto mouthpiece. It is everything you said it would be and more. It is the perfect match for my Yanagisawa A-992 bronze alto. It retained all of the good characteristics of my Custom # 7. And I found the JodyJazz to be smoother and less edgy with more stability on the high notes. It really opened up the low end to a nice, lush velvety response. It is also very reed friendly. I could go all of the way from soft, lush and warm on the low end to crystal clear pure tones up top. Even with my stiffest setup, the bottom end was still quite nice. Even with my warmest setup, the top end still played loud and clear. Bottom line: I love the mouthpiece! I put all of my other mouthpieces away. This one covers everything from soft ballads to raunchy blues.

I'll start by saying that overall, it's a better tenor mpc than my HR Otto Link and even my now defunct HR Meyer in terms of versatility, the accessibility and response of the bottom and top of the horn, and effortless loud volume and sub tones. Congratulations! This mouthpiece is a bona fide accomplishment.

I just want to let you know that my bari JodyJazz "Q" mpc is AWESOME! It does absolutely ROAR! The BEST! It's a GREAT! mpc. It keeps getting better all the time.

WOW!!!! I just got the package this morning and I am in love!!!! First of all, even just the look of the mouthpiece alone is captivating! The uniqueness of the color of the mouthpiece and the fact that it's clear is astounding. I was thinking when I started to assemble my sax that it was going to probably be something I really really had to work at even to get the slightest sound out. (like another brand mouthpiece I bought which was no good). I placed the mouthpiece in my mouth, took a deep breath and hoped for something, anything to come out....and there it was, in one simple procedure....a bright clear beautiful sound. I can't put this thing down. I am so excited! I can't wait to play for people and show them...just the whole sound and what I can do on it...its great! I just wanted to e-mail you right away and let you know how pleased I am and how much I am going to work on getting my sound, tone, intonation and all that good stuff as perfected as I can with this mouthpiece. Just got my "JODYJAZZ" alto mouthpiece today and I'm inspired. Everything is "right" about the piece - fat sound, great subtone, you can push it, great projection, great upper register, it's inexpensive (do we really need to pay $250 for a mouthpiece?). It's certainly the right mouthpiece for me. Anyone interested in an old Meyer Bros. 6 ?? The JodyJazz plays like a custom mouthpiece made just for me. Can't think of anything I'd change about it.
